Seasonal

We know, we're way late on the whole Restaurant Week thing. It happened in January and we're getting this post up in March but hey we couldn't let the delectable meal we had at Lindey's go unnoticed. Nestled in German Village with snow on the ground Lindey's looked like something out of a storybook.Lindeys

WineFest2011_SCRNSTWine and Food… that’s like saying Yen and Yang or Courtney and Anita…. They just complement one another so well. We went to check out North Market’s Annual Food and Wine Festival on a VERY hot day in Columbus. Entry was $10 which got you a wine glass (however since we went on Sunday, the last day of the festival, they had run out) and 10 tickets for tastings. Spruce Street in the Arena District was just down from end to end and filled with vendors from local wineries all over Columbus. We braved the heat to taste wine and found relief inside of the North Market where we tried out some of the best local has to offer! See what we thought of this annual event and just how pink Anita’s cheeks got in our video review!

Clippers_SCRNSTIt's baseball season... did you forget? With Columbus being a town consumed by the Buckeyes at times we forget all of the amazing sports teams that call Columbus their home. Huntington Park located near the Arena District on Neil Avenue is home to the Columbus Clippers and one of the most beautiful ballparks around. With restaurants like Roosters, Bob Evans and City Barbecue to summer time treats like Dip-N-Dots and a bar overlooking the field... sounds like a good time to me. Check out what we thought of America's past time in Columbus in our video review!

chocoholiqueValentine's Day: some people loathe it, some people love it and some people are just happy to give themselves gifts without the need for an explanation. For us we're happy for the abundance on candy on the shelves of convenience stores but Dimensional Entertainment turned a candy lovers dream into a fun night out in Columbus with a chocolate tasting at Le Chocoholique. Located in the Short North, Le Chocoholique is home to dozens of creative and delicious pieces of chocolate. Dimensional Entertainment brought together an intimate group of people to try these treats the day after Valentine's Day, making even these two Valentine-less gals enjoy the holiday! Check out the video!

D2Remb_SCRNSTSome people cringe at the word "charity" with thoughts of either money flowing out our pockets or getting our hands dirty, it's a bit understandable but the Columbus Young Professionals Club has found a way to make charity not only fun but a little glamorous. We attended the 5th annual CYP Club charity event "A Date to Remember" and had a blast. This charity event had lovely and studly young professionals model in fashions from local companies like The Limited and the over 700 attendees were ready to throw up the big bucks to bid on their respective date packages. Check out the video to see all of the food, fashion and fun at the event!
