Courtney's Take

I love whiskey. I'm just going to get that out of the way now so you can clearly see my bias. This bar is very cool. It's low-key and modernly southern, no cheesy "country" decor but it does have a rugged interior that compliments the whole whiskey bar theme. They have some great appetizer / small plates that are discounted during happy hour. I was so happy to see seafood on their menu, not a lot of places offer it since we're in the middle of the country. We sat on the side with the bar but they do having a dining area as well. I had a John Wayne from the signature drink options and man it was strong! If it had been a little colder I think I could have handled it better but I definitely want to go back and try a few other concoctions! Check this place out, it's very cool!

Anita's Take

This cool little whiskey bar in the Short North is a place worth checking out!  They have an excellent happy hour on small plates and drinks from 4-8pm. Their small plates feature a lot of seafood, which I loooove.  Unfortunately I didn't get a shot of my scallop on top on puffed bread in the video.  It was delicious!  I tried Courtney's dishes and everything was on point.  Very fresh, well made, and clean flavors. The inside is pretty small, so it's a place to bring 2-4 friends.  The first room you walk into is the bar, then there's a small dining room next to it.  Check out this little nook by Surly Girl.  There's no parking lot, but plenty of street parking all around. Enjoy!
